About the role

As a service attendant on M/S Eckerö, you will have a varied and enjoyable job. You can work in several different departments on board or specialize in one. Sometimes you will work the entire week in the same department, sometimes you will rotate between different ones, even within the same day.

Examples of areas of work as a Service Attendant:

• Restaurant: In our buffet restaurant Bornholm and in our à la carte restaurant Rospiggen, you will serve food and drinks along with related serving tasks.
• Bar: In our bars Klubb Kuling and Bar Båtsman, you will serve drinks and snacks along with related serving tasks.
• Café: In Kafé Käringsund and Bistro Byholma, you will work at the cash register, replenish displays, serve food, clear dishes, and perform other tasks in a café environment.
• Shop: In our duty-free shop Magasin Märket, you will work with sales, which includes cashier duties, restocking items, and active selling. You may also work as a salesperson in our perfume department, where you will actively sell fragrances, cosmetics, and retail items.
• Warehouse: In our warehouse, you will deliver goods to the various departments on board, collect laundry and garbage, and restock items in the duty-free shop. This department also includes driving a forklift; we will arrange forklift driver training if needed.
• Cleaning: In our cleaning department, you will work with housekeeping throughout the ship and clean both our guests' and crew's cabins.
• Kitchen: In our kitchen department, you will ensure that our restaurants and cafés have clean and tidy dishes and that our skilled chefs have clean working tools.

Regardless of the department, it is important that you collaborate well with colleagues and provide friendly, professional service to our guests. Together, we ensure that M/S Eckerö continues to be a pleasant and appreciated workplace.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old
• Speaks fluent Swedish
• Has a positive attitude, enjoys taking responsibility, and thrives in a team environment

Preferred experiences:

• Previous work in bar, restaurant, shop, cleaning, or service profession
• Education in restaurant management or similar

Working hours and conditions:

You will work week on/week off, one week on board, followed by a paid week off.

The working hours average 10.6 hours per day. During the work week, you will live on board, and all meals are served in the staff dining room. There are also comfortable staff areas for leisure time.

M/S Eckerö does not operate at night but remains docked in Eckerö. Salary according to collective agreement (SEKO maritime workers). The base salary is 29,017 SEK/month (from April 1, 2026) + onboard allowance (averaging 2,612 SEK/month) + possible age supplement.
